We have waves!

The Ocean Waves design is now complete!  All 1166 triangles and 18 squares have been sewn together.  Yesterday, I was able to cut the border fabric - having changed the colours from my original choice.  The main border is made up of three sections; inner, middle and outer borders which have been sewn together into four strips, ready to attach to the main Ocean Waves design.

Once the border has been attached, I shall cut and sew the backing fabric and measure and cut the wadding/batting (cotton filling).  Then the patchwork top, batting and backing will be tacked together with large hand sewn stitches and machine quilting will commence.  When the machine quilting is complete, I shall then hand quilt the setting squares and triangles and then attach the binding.

Et Voila! - the 'Waves for Tommy' Quilt will be complete.  God be willing. Amen.

May we all have a blessed Holy Week.
Catherine
